Goals and Objectives for Gameflow Men's Group
To provide a safe and confidential space for men to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
To promote mental health and well-being by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression through supportive relationships and open communication.
To help men develop healthy relationships and communication skills, including active listening, empathy, and understanding.
To increase men's understanding and awareness of their emotions, behaviors, and personal challenges.
To promote positive self-esteem and body image, and help men develop healthy coping strategies for negative self-talk.
To provide education and resources on healthy living, relationships, and self-care.
To help men build a strong sense of community and support, fostering a sense of belonging and connectedness.
To provide opportunities for personal growth and development, including goal-setting and life skills training.
To provide a platform for men to discuss social and cultural issues that impact their lives and relationships.
To provide a space for men to give and receive support and encouragement from others who understand their experiences.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for men to improve their mental health and well-being through open communication, relationship building, and personal growth. We aim to promote understanding, awareness, and acceptance of emotions, behaviors, and challenges while encouraging positive self-esteem, self-care, and community building. Our goal is to empower men to live fulfilling lives and create strong relationships based on empathy, respect, and understanding.Â
Rules
Confidentiality: All members must agree to keep the discussions and personal information shared within the group confidential.
Active Listening: Members are encouraged to actively listen and respect each other's opinions, experiences, and feelings.
Non-judgment: The group is a non-judgmental and supportive space. Members should avoid making negative or critical comments about others.
Respect: Members should treat each other with respect, even in disagreement.
Open-mindedness: Members should approach discussions with an open mind and be willing to learn from others' experiences.
Time Limits: Members are asked to respect time limits for their turn to speak to allow everyone an opportunity to share.
Support: Members should strive to provide support, encouragement, and understanding to each other.
Personal Responsibility: Members are expected to take responsibility for their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and to seek outside support as needed.
No Solicitation: The group is not a platform for commercial or personal gain, and members should not use the group to promote or sell products or services.
Attendance: Members are encouraged to attend regularly, but missing a few meetings is okay. If a member cannot attend regularly, they may choose to step back from the group.
